American Women in Music and Art

Cedar Valley Chamber Music’s American Woman concert in the UNI Gallery of Art, Sunday, July 24, 2022. This programming of music by composers Valerie Coleman, Jennifer Higdon, Libby Larsen, Florence Price, and Ellen Taaffe Zwillich was presented in association with the Permanent Art Collection exhibition An Encomium: Women in Art, a single-day show.

"In the Studio" 2022

 "In the Studio," a collaboration with UNI Opera, was performed in the UNI Gallery of Art on Friday night, April 29, 2022.

Jovon Eborn performed 4 pieces, one a monologue, accompanied by 4 works of art from the UNI Permanent Art Collection.

Gabbi Flannery also performed 4 works, all arias, accompanied by 4 works of art from the Collection.

UNI Opera Director Richard Gammon and video designer Sean Poellet (UL); Gabbi Flannery in rehearsal (UR); Jovon Eborn in rehearsal (LL); Mr. Gammon introduces the program (LR); and Korey Barrett accompanies the singers (Center).

 It's here. My book Glad Days, which chronicles my pandemic experience through imagery and some brief explanatory texts. The book was edited and designed by the brilliant Justin Allen, a UNI Department of Art alum. It's debut was tonight, January 26, 2022, at the Art Faculty Exhibition. Very proud.
